Keep your gutters draining longer between cleanings with the Spring Gutter Strainer®.

Product Description:

The Spring Gutter Strainer® has an innovative spring coil design made from only one piece of wire, allowing no chance of failure of any parts. The wire is almost twice as thick as other wire strainers on the market today and the long flexible neck design ensures the product stays in the downspout even if a leaf blower is used to clean the gutters. The head of the Spring Gutter Strainer® is also taller and wider than the competition, proven to keep gutters draining longer between gutter cleanings.

Available in sizes and styles suitable for most gutters!

Sizes:

2" Spring Gutter Strainer® fits all gutter outlets for 5" half-round and 5" standard k-style gutters with 2" x 3" or 3" round downspouts.

3" Spring Gutter Strainer® fits all gutter outlets for 6" half-round and 6" k-style gutters with
3" x 4"or 4" round downspouts.

Material:

Choose premium quality Stainless Steel if you have copper gutters (why?) or if you simply want a lifetime warranty.

Choose Galvanized if you have aluminum gutters (standard on most homes).

Warranty:

Stainless Steel Spring Gutter Strainer® - Lifetime warranty against rust, oxidization or reaction with other metals. We offer a one year warranty on manufacturer defects.

Galvanized Spring Gutter Strainer® - Also comes with one year warranty on manufacturer defects. Although the zinc coating on the steel wire retards the natural rusting process, this strainer will eventually rust. However, because of the thickness of the wire, it can be expected to do its job for at least several years, even under the harshest conditions.

Choose the Spring Gutter Strainer® that is right for your gutter system in two easy steps!

Step 1: SIZE

Choose the 2-inch Spring Gutter Strainer® if the following applies:

You have 5-inch half-round gutters or 5-inch k-style gutters...

...and the usual downspout pipes are as follows:

(Side view of 5" k-style gutter and 2"x3" rectangular downspout)

While the size of the gutter matters, the size of the outlet hole leading into the downspout is more important. If it is 3-inch round in diameter or 2" x 3" oval/rectangular you will need the smaller 2-inch size Spring Gutter Strainer®.

Choose the 3-inch Spring Gutter Strainer® if the following applies:

You have 6-inch half-round gutters or 6-inch k-style gutters...

...and the usual downspout pipes are as follows:

(Side view of 6" half-round gutter and 4" round downspout)

Side View of 6-inch k-style gutter

(Side view of 6" k-style gutter and 3"x4" rectangular downspout)

Again, while the size of the gutter matters, the size of the outlet hole leading into the downspout is more important. If it is 4-inch round in diameter or 3" x 4" oval/rectangular you will need the larger 3-inch size Spring Gutter Strainer®.

There are a couple of exceptions!

For best fit...

  • If you have 5" gutters and larger (3x4" rectangular or 4" round) downspout pipes, please choose the smaller, 2" Spring Gutter Strainer®
  • If you have 6" gutters and smaller (2x3" rectangular or 3" round) downspout pipes, please also choose the smaller, 2" Spring Gutter Strainer®

Step 2: Type of material

Galvanized or stainless steel:
Choose galvanized strainers if you have aluminum or galvanized gutters:
Galvanized Spring Gutter Strainers® are the standard for all aluminum and galvanized k-style and
half-round style gutters. Unlike any other gutter strainers on the market they will last and function for many years, but be aware, they will eventually rust.

Choose stainless steel strainers if you have copper gutters, wood gutters or Yankee gutters:
Wood gutters and Yankee gutters often have copper linings or copper outlet. Stainless steel strainers are universal and can be used in gutters made of any material.

Choosing stainless steel IS NOT JUST A MATTER OF PRICE!!
Stainless steel Spring Gutter Strainers® must be used in copper gutters in order to avoid any galvanic corrosion which can literally eat holes in the gutter system. They are also stronger and less expensive than copper strainers.

No matter what type of gutter system you have, the stainless steel Spring Gutter Strainer® is always a good investment as it comes with the ultimate lifetime warranty.

Your satisfaction is guaranteed! If you have any concerns about your choice, pick the stainless steel Spring Gutter Strainer®. It is still a low cost solution and will last forever with no risk of galvanic corrosion, no matter what your gutters are made of. Even if you make a mistake on the size or material, you can always return it in its original packaging and reorder the other item, it's that easy!
